Mustard-Marinated Tofu
If you have time to spare on this recipe, the tofu absorbs the flavours better if left to marinade for a couple of hours. It still tastes great if you don't have the extra time.
Ingredients:
1 block extra firm tofu, drained and patted dry
1 tbsp vegetable oil
4 tbsp Dijon mustard
6 cloves garlic (crushed)
3 tbsp soy sauce
6 tbsp fresh lemon juice
Cut the tofu into small cubes (approximately 1 cm). Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan, and when hot, fry tofu on each side until crispy. Drain on papertowels. Mix all other ingredients together, then toss with tofu and let sit. About 10 minutes before serving, heat the tofu and marinade in frying pan until the tofu absorbs all of the marinade.
